Hi! My name is Eliana Haig. I have a large and lively studio of Suzuki and traditional viola and violin students in St. Louis, Missouri. I have been teaching for 15 years and counting in a variety of capacities and I am happy to have made my home in St. Louis since 2011. I earned my Bachelors and Masters degrees in Viola Performance (with lots of pedagogy thrown in) at Lawrence University and the Eastman School of Music, where I studied with Matthew Michelic and George Taylor. I have also had the great good fortune to study Suzuki pedagogy with Carrie Reuning-Hummel, Joanne Melvin, Bill Preucil Sr., and Elizabeth Stuen-Walker. You can read more about my teaching philosophy here: Viola Lessons.
In my free time, you may find me running in a nearby park, baking with my husband, Alex, or keeping up with our active toddler.
Thanks for visiting!
Eliana
