Hi! My name is Eliana. I have a large and lively studio of Suzuki and traditional viola and violin students in St. Louis, Missouri. I have been teaching for 13 years and counting in a variety of capacities and I am happy to have made my home in St. Louis since 2011. I earned my Bachelors and Masters degrees in Viola Performance (with lots of pedagogy thrown in) at Lawrence University and the Eastman School of Music, where I studied with Matthew Michelic and George Taylor. I have also had the great good fortune to study Suzuki pedagogy with Carrie Reuning-Hummel, Joanne Melvin, Bill Preucil Sr., and Elizabeth Stuen-Walker.

I am a big viola nerd and love everything playing, teaching, or learning about viola and upper string pedagogy. I hope that this website will be a helpful resource for viola and violin teachers, students, and parents.

In my free time, you may find me running in a nearby park, baking gluten free with my husband, Alex, or curled up with a good book and our orange tabby, Mooch.

Thanks for visiting!
